Choc Honeycomb Protein Banana Bread

75g Oat flour

90g Maxine's Burn Chocolate Honeycomb protein Powder

2.5g Baking powder

2.5g Baking soda

10g Cacao Powder

1tsp Cinnamon


3 large free range eggs

30mls Maple Sryrup (sugar free)

1/2tsp Vanilla essence

230g Over ripe bananas, mashed


100g Light cream cheese

160g YoPro vanilla yoghurt

1/2tsp Vanilla essence


10g Walnuts, crushed



1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and line a loaf tin with baking paper. 2. Blend oats into a flour (using your blender) and add to bowl with dry ingredients - protein powder, baking powder, baking soda, cacao powder and cinnamon. 3. Add wet ingredients - eggs, maple syrup, vanilla extract and bananas then combine well. 4. Pour the mixture into the tin and smooth with a spatula. 5. Pop in the oven and bake for 20 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the centre of the cake comes out clean. 6. Remove from the oven and allow to cool.

7. To make the icing beat (using an electric beater) the cream cheese, yoghurt and vanilla essence until nice and creamy.

8. Spread the icing over the cooled bread, sprinkle with crushed walnuts and sprinkle with cinnamon. 7. Slice and enjoy!
